A little woodland charm with a connection to the past, this handmade fox ring brings a vintage button’s design to life in silver. Paired with a band crafted from textured and decorative sterling silver wire, the fox gives this piece a storybook quality—perfect for someone drawn to animals, nature, and jewelry with a story.
I created the fox by taking a silicone mold of a vintage brass button, then pressing silver metal clay into the mold to capture its design. After allowing it to dry, I torch-fired the piece and oxidized it by hand to bring out the details. I then soldered the finished fox onto the sterling silver band.
The original button served as the pattern; the fox itself is silver. It’s a lovely way to carry a small piece of vintage artistry into something new and wearable.
