This striking necklace is a rare fusion of mid-century sophistication and modern craftsmanship. Once a 1950s Mikimoto tie bar, I have repurposed it into a one-of-a-kind pendant featuring four luminous, cream colored iridescent pearls set within an elongated, open-frame sterling silver form. Clean lines and bold angles give this piece a distinctly modernist flair, while the pearls add a touch of timeless elegance.
Hanging from an 18" sterling silver chain, the necklace is both lightweight and statement-making. As a tribute to its origins, the original Mikimoto tag from the tie tack has been preserved and attached to the clasp, adding provenance and a unique detail collectors and vintage lovers will appreciate.
This is more than a necklace — it’s a conversation piece, a slice of history, and a beautifully sustainable way to wear vintage design.
