I cannot deny my love for Bohemian garnets. Popular in Victoria times, these deep red stones have been mined in the Bohemian Hills of Czechoslovakia since the 1600’s.
These little stunners are typically faceted in rose cuts or with a flat table to help catch the light. They were also usually set in silver (800 vs 925) and were also at times gold plated.
The piece in this necklace was once a pin but has been converted to a necklace to make it more wearable. The garnets are set in 800 silver and hang from a 14k rose gold chain with a lobster claw clasp.
